Meet Dr David Onwubalili

Hi, I’m Dr David Onwubalili (MB BS, BSc, MRCGP).

With a deep-rooted passion for both medicine and authentic storytelling, I created MediMedia Solutions to bridge the gap between clinical accuracy and creative expression. My mission is simple: to help productions deliver medical content that’s not only compelling but also realistic and credible.

I bring nearly 20 years of experience as a UK-trained medical doctor, having studied at University College London. I currently work as a GP with a special interest in Urgent Care Medicine, giving me a broad and practical understanding of real-world clinical settings.

Beyond the clinic, I’m a professional voice actor represented by a leading agency. My voice has featured in campaigns for major global brands including Bentley, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover, Lloyds Bank, and NHS England. I also have screen acting experience, with a credit in the short film “One Small Step,” available on YouTube.

Working at the intersection of healthcare and storytelling gives me the unique opportunity to help bring medical narratives to life with integrity and impact.

I’ve worked as part of a medical team for a previous company, consulting on a range of popular UK television shows including You Are What You Eat, Love Island, and Bidding Wars.

In these roles, I was responsible for conducting comprehensive pre-show health assessments to ensure the safety and wellbeing of contestants. I also served as a medical advisor to the production teams, providing guidance on the suitability of participants from a health and risk perspective.

This behind-the-scenes involvement played a key role in supporting duty of care protocols, enabling producers to make informed casting decisions that balanced compelling entertainment with a strong commitment to participant safety, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance.
